Cycling Jersey

Dear Readers Once again I welcome you in my blog. Today I will be discussing about Cycling jersey.

cycling jersey is a specialized jersey (shirt) for cycling. While the vast majority of cyclists worldwide wear conventional clothing while riding, a jersey offers certain advantages for the sport-oriented cyclist. Cycling jerseys are lightweight garments for the upper body that is meant to allow maximum movement of the arms and neck, while still allowing the biking enthusiast to maintain a comfortable temperature. They come in short sleeved and long sleeved versions. Some are made to slip over the head comfortably, while other models may have a zipper down the front of the garment. While some people prefer form fitting bicycle jerseys, other persons may prefer cuts that are slightly loose, while still allowing for easy movement of the arms and neck.
There is some controversy over the type of fabric that makes the best cycle  jerseys. Some believe that all of these garments should be made of natural fibers like cotton because natural fabrics allow the skin to breathe and will ultimately benefit  riders by allowing perspiration to naturally cool the body. Others believe that blends of synthetic and natural fibers that create a wicking effect will allow the same ability, while also ensuring that the garment still appears to look fresh during the rides. The truth may be that both types of cycle jerseys may be perfectly usable, depending on the climate and the frequency of use. Persons who rely on cycle as transportation for work and errands may find that the blended jersey material is a better option, while the more casual ride may find the cotton type to be ideal.

Shorts

                                                                                                                www.acerasa.com.pk
Hi dear readers I hope you are doing well and must be getting lots of knowledge from my blog.Today I will be discussing about Shorts and what it is called in different countries.
Shorts are shortened version of pants, worn in warm weather.
Cargo Short
Shorts are a garment worn by both men and women over their pelvic area, circling the waist and splitting to cover the upper part of the legs. There are a variety of shorts, ranging from knee-length short pants that can be worn as formal clothes to beachwear and athletic shorts. Some types of shorts are typically worn by women, as in the case of culottes, which are a divided skirt resembling a pair of loose-cut shorts.

In much of Europe and North America during the 19th and early 20th centuries shorts were worn as outerwear. Women tended not to wear shorts in most cultures, due to social mores, because they were expected to wear dresses, skirts and blouses.

However, in many countries it is acceptable to wear shorts as they are considered casual wear.
Since the 1990s, casual office dress has grown in some UK and U.S. businesses, but by no means universally, to include formal shorts .In South Africa, Bermuda, Australia and New Zealand Men may wear shorts in office or at a formal gathering.
Many Adults are wearing shorts, however wearing shorts is not common among women in traditional eastern countries than in the West, although this changes widely by region.

Shorts can have different styles like Basic shorts which may have no pockets.Workout shorts are often made of moisture-wicking fabric.Swim shorts or swimming trunks are male swimwear.Chino shorts is a twill fabric, originally made of cotton.Running shorts Reach only the upper thigh; intended to provide maximum freedom of movement in sports activities. Cycling short is a  Skin-tight long shorts originally worn by cyclists to reduce chafing while cycling.

In British English the term "short trousers" has been used, but only for shorts that are a short version of real trousers.  The American term "short pants" is probably the nearest equivalent. In Australia it is called stubbies. "Shorts" is used unqualified in British English to refer to sports shorts, athletic shorts, or casual shorts, the last nowadays being, in the UK itself, commonplace in warm weather.

In the 19th and early 20th centuries, tennis  players ordinarily wore "tennis whites" consisting of long-sleeved white button-up shirts  flannel trousers, and ties. This attire presented problems for ease of play and comfort.

Since 1933, the tennis shirt has become so popular that it has become one of the standard categories of clothing. It is today worn by both men and women in numerous non-athletic contexts.

Notably, tennis shirts are worn by many semi-professional and retail workers in settings where T-shirts are not acceptable, but formal business attire is not required.

It is also a favored shirt for those working outside, such as groundskeepers and maintenance workers, due to its ruggedness and style. During the 1990s, the tennis shirt became the standard informal business attire for the high-tech industry.
Women Wear polo shirt
In the early 1980s, polo shirts became popular among young professionals in The Nordics.
In many schools that require students to wear uniforms, especially junior schools, tennis shirts are part of a compulsory uniform for both boys and girls.

Dear Readers Today I will be talking about T -shirt and  what is GSM (Grams per Square Meter)

T-shirts, made of a light, inexpensive fabric and easy to clean. The earliest T-shirt dates back to sometime between the Spanish–American War and 1913, when the U.S. Navy began issuing them as undergarments. The word "T-shirt" became part of American English by the 1920s.

A T-shirt typically extends to the waist. Variants of the T-shirt, such as the V-neck, have been developed.  A 1990s trend in women's clothing involved tight-fitting "cropped" T-shirt or crop tops short enough to reveal the midriffT-shirts that are tight to the body are called fitted, tailored or "baby doll" T-shirts.

Tee shirts

T-shirt or tee shirt  is a style of soft shirt  named after the T shape of the body and sleeves. It is normally associated with short sleeves, a round neck line known as a crew neck, and no collar.
It is a casual shirt without a collar or buttons, made of a stretchy, finely knit fabric, usually cotton, and usually short-sleeved. Originally worn under other shirts, it is now a common shirt for everyday wear. The manufacture of T-shirts has become highly automated, and may include fabric cutting by laser or water jet.   also "tee shirt",

T-shirts were originally worn as undershirts, but are now worn frequently on the top half of the body,
T-shirts have also become a medium for self-expression and advertising, with any imaginable combination of words, art and photographs on display.
Ringer T shirt

T-shirts can be long sleeves, short sleeves and Ringer T-shirts.

T shirts can be found in different weight called GSM. That will depend on what you need from your garment, fabric weight is in almost all cases a definition of the thickness of the garment itself. If you want a nice thick T Shirt then a 180-200gsm item is generally at the very top end of a t shirt weight but if you want a nice light weight summer T Shirt 130-150 is  great. Likewise if you are looking for a cheap promotional T shirt that may not be worn more than a few times a 100-110gsm T shirt can be more than adequate.  Higher the fabric weight better is the quality.

Introduction

                                                                                                                                www.acerasa.com.pk
Sports wear , Clothes designed to wear while playing Hockey, Tennis, cricket, Bicycling, Hiking Etc.
The term can also refer to active wear, which is clothing designed specifically for participants in sporting pursuits.

Many of the first American sportswear designers were women, who understood women’s needs and lifestyles. Dorothy Shaver, president of Lord & Taylor, in the Thirties and Forties started to support American designers such as Claire McCardell, Bonnie Cashin and Vera Maxwell, all of whom were first showcased in L&T’s boutiques and Fifth Avenue windows.
American Invention

In the Forties, McCardell popularized a new way of dressing that included the dirndl skirt. She was well known for her swimsuits, sundresses, wool jersey dinner dresses and “Popovers,” denim wraparound house dresses. In the Fifties, sportswear came into its own. The collegiate look became popular, and sweaters became must-have items. Cashin served up separates and “the layered look,” which included stretch ski pants, pedal pushers and capri pants. In addition, suburbia started influencing fashion trends. Bermuda shorts, cocktail dresses, leathers, pants and knits became must-haves.

In 1966, a 16-year-old British model named Twiggy made an impact on both sides of the pond with her miniskirts, and the look skyrocketed. Betsey Johnson made a name for herself as an innovator, and designed T-shirt dresses, pantsuits and miniskirts, starting in the Sixties.

The late Sixties and Seventies also saw the rise of the American sportswear designer as a lifestyle brand. Anne Klein, an iconic sportswear brand which catered to women who were attaining more senior jobs and didn’t want to look like men, created power suits. In 1968, Calvin Klein began producing elegant, simple clothes, favoring neural earth tones and natural fabrics.

In 1973, the T-shirt became the number-one counterculture status symbol around the world. HotPants also hit fast and furiously.

By the late Seventies and Eighties, women started entering the workforce in droves. This resulted in the predominance of the power suit and day-to-evening dressing. For those working 9 to 5, the fashion industry created a whole new market, called bridge, with companies such as Anne Klein II at the forefront, and then Ellen Tracy eventually dominating the category.

Throughout the Nineties, designers such as Donna Karan, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger each brought their own sensibility to the sportswear market, and became global lifestyle brands and giant licensing machines. Supermodels showed off the clothes on the runway, creating images that went global.

The late Nineties saw a casualization of the workplace. The Nineties were also dominated by hip-hop fashion, which consisted of baggy pants, baseball caps worn backwards, oversize rugby or polo shirts and expensive sneakers.

In the 21st century, sportswear encompasses casual streetwear and dressy looks, with jeans continuing to play a key role. Celebrities got into the sportswear game, with well-known celebrities such as Mary-Kate and Ashley Olse.
